eCommerce Website and CMS Updates

An online eyewear retailer needed an easier to use ecommerce site and a refreshed design. I conducted initial project research, wrote a user experience brief, created the information architecture using a prototyping tool, then partnered with the designer to refine the interactions on the site. Additionally, I worked with developers to recommend and implement changes to an ecommerce platform to create a better experience for the customer.

Shopping Cart

One of the places I suggested changes to the checkout process was on the shopping cart page. I suggested to include the ability to calculate shipping and enter a gift card or promo code so that users could get a more accurate estimate of their total.
